For nearly a decade, Seattle-based entrepreneur Joel Vandenbrink operated the small scale brewery, Two Beers Brewing Co. In his personal life, Joel Vandenbrink enjoys outdoor activities such as backpacking and RV travel.

Traveling by RV has recently gained popularity due to its convenience and safety. While many RVs are equipped with bathrooms, kitchens, and other facilities, travelers may still need to park at designated RV parks to access electricity or running water. Besides these areas, there are also other locations where an RV may be permitted to park overnight.

For example, the retail chain Walmart allows overnight RV parking at many of its locations. RVs are also accepted at many truck stops. Some states and municipalities allow RVs to park at campgrounds or public lots. Travelers can also find homeowners who are willing to rent out their driveway on travel websites or Craigslist. Before parking in any of these options, travelers must secure permission from the proper authority.
